Emily Adele Williams is a cello player and improviser performing on amplified/effected cello using various effect pedals, cello percussion, and sampled sounds to multi layer her music which can be described as ambient, drone-like with atmospheric soundscapes. Emily has collaborated on a number of musical projects over her career and and has a solo cello project and duo.

Projects

AU REVOIR HANDS
Emily is currently working with composer/producer Anth Lyons in their new duo Au Revoir Hands with buchla, cello and laptop. What emerges is a unique sound world sitting at the intersections of neo-classical electronic music and avant pop.
They are releasing their first Album ‘Hemispheres’ later this year with digital releases available from June.

NIGHT DIVER
Emily’s solo cello project Night Diver. The music os cello and found sounds uses multiple layers of effected cello with shimmering electronics which are slowly interwoven evoking anticipation, longing & stillness.
